Featured Artyst: Kutface

I'm a Producer from Denver Colorado. I've been producing and rapping for 20+ years. I've worked with many artists from around the world, providing exclusive instrumentals, mixing, mastering as well as engineering. My homie and I meet in high school '99 and started making music as a group. In 2002 we dropped our first album under our independent record label. For the next 10 years we dropped 10 group albums, 4 solos, signed 3 acts, a few compilation/artist projects and countless shows. After 10 years of a non stop amazing experience, I slowly stepped back from doing shows and mainly worked on production. I felt the style and music genre I was doing limited me from growing as an artist. After a few years of learning mixing and mastering techniques, I decided to start a new production company. And instead of focusing on one genre, It will be a multi genre label. I'm not rapping much these days, but I'm still bustin' out beats. So I plan on finding many artist with various musical backgrounds to make amazing and unique music with. I also want to help up and coming artist with affordable albums deals such as EP or LP production, mixing and mastering.

Who are your biggest musical influences?

RAP: Scarface (geto boyz), Brotha Lynch Hung, Insane Clown Posse, Three 6 Mafia

PRODUCERS: Mike E. Clark, Timberland, Dr. Dre, Master P

Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Matellica

What inspires you to create music?

I like to spend time with my Family. I have 2 boys who keep me motivated. I also draw, tattoo and play video games when I have the time.

What else do you do your artists do outside of music?

My biggest success was starting a record label at 16 and doing everything by our selves. We signed 4 acts, dropped 10 albums (with my group) a few solo and side/compilation projects with label mates.

What made you excited to get involved with the Artyst app?

I feel like Artyst would be a great way to find new talent to work with. I am not writing lyrics much lately but I have been making some clean beats. I want to release a bunch of compilation albums.

What kind of collabs are you looking for on the Artyst app?

I'm mainly looking for some singers to work with, but I'm open to many styles and genres. I mostly make beats for rap, but I'v made Metal, R&B, Reggae, and some weird things I cant really put into a genre. . I don't want to be restricted to one kind of genre. If it sounds good, I'll listen to it. So I'll definitely try and make it.

What's your vision for the future? Where are you headed as an artist?

I want to build a team of talented artist who have the skill and drive to make dope music. And I'm not trying to be the only one making the music on my label. I want to build a crazy production team as well. Everyone has their own specialty. I want my company to be a one stop shop for up and comers in the music industry.

What's next for you? Any upcoming projects we should know about?

I just started my production company in February 2020. I've dropped an album and a few singles since then. As of right now, I'm just planning on dropping singles while I build the labels and find new artist to work with.
